is an industrial designer working across objects, color, and material. She is currently completing an MA in Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins, following a BFA in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).

Kim is interested in the relationships between an object, its surroundings, and the body. She is drawn to objects that can hold their own presence within a space while revealing a more intimate character through touch and use. This tension between the spatial and the tactile informs her approach to form, material, and interaction.

Her practice is shaped by a sensitivity to material behavior: how color, surface, texture, finish, and light interact, and how different materials can create tension, contrast, or harmony when brought together.

Her process moves between ideation, sketching, storytelling, material exploration, and prototyping. The point at which a form or direction begins to feel inevitable is when her attention shifts to proportion, detail, and the relationships between color, material, and image that give an object its character.
